Granville business helps link older foster kids with furniture

Seniors downsizing their households usually have as well much, and teenagers leaving foster treatment usually do not have ample. A person local group noticed the two complications as a single answer.

Via a partnership with an corporation supporting foster young ones and people, a Granville-based organization allows seniors downsize their homes and give some of their belongings to youngsters exiting the foster method.

Samantha Stearns’ business, Songbird Transitions, began in 2016 soon after she and her spouse returned to Ohio.

“We downsize seniors who have been residing in their residences numerous decades,” Stearns defined. “We support them pick and select what pieces of household furniture would in shape in their new house.
