A north county motel has a new owner.

The Post-Journal and OBSERVER have been analyzing real estate transactions in Chautauqua County and recently looked at the sales from Oct. 3-14.

During that time period 5040 West Lake Shore Road LLC of Tonawanda sold 5040 West Lake Road, town of Dunkirk to Jay Soon for $648,000. That is the location of Southshore Vacation Homes, formerly known as Southshore Motor Lodge. The location advertises cottages, apartments and a motel for daily, weekly and yearly rentals, including airbnb.

Also during that time period, Wilston Holdings LLC of Sugar Grove, Pa. sold 119-121 Jackson Ave., Celoron to JMI Properties LLC of Celoron for $500,000. That is the location of International Welding & Fabricating Co., a steel service center. The company does industrial/commercial steel fabrication, industrial repairs and modifications, steel erection, steel sales and crane service.

JMI Properties LLC owns multiple locations in the south county.

Including the two sales mentioned above, in the first two weeks of October, there were 20 sales that were $250,000 or higher. Five of the sales were in the town of Chautauqua (two of which were in Chautauqua Institution and one in the village of Mayville), three were in the town of Busti (two of which were in the village of Lakewood), two were in the town of Pomfret, two were in the town of Ellery, and one sale each was in the towns of Dunkirk, Westfield, Ellicott (village of Celoron), Ellington, Harmony, French Creek, Hanover and Sheridan.

The remaining top sales were as follows:
